India Mission

Third generation Christians, Brother Henry Bhasker, along with his late wife, Sister Viola, began their walk with God in 1979. After suffering severe injuries from a near-fatal automobile accident, both made a promise to God to begin a mission in the name of Jesus Christ. Thus began the Good Shepherd Mission and a dream to devote a life praising God and spreading His word through acts of pure selflessness in order to help the poor. Their journey began by bringing two orphans from the village of Puttur into their home.

Through support of the congregation at Calvary United Methodist and several other congregations, the Good Shepherd Mission has grown.
