United Methodist Communications is working to provide timely and relevant information about how The United Methodist Church is responding to the tragic earthquake in Haiti and how United Methodists can support these efforts. United Methodists have had a long-standing relationship with Haiti through the Methodist Church of Haiti.
The United Methodist News Service posted an initial story soon following the tragedy and will have ongoing coverage about United Methodist mission teams that are in Haiti, response efforts by the United Methodist Committee on Relief, and what local churches are doing to provide aid. Your urgent and unceasing prayers are needed for Haiti and for the international relief efforts that are now beginning to flow into that country.
YOU are invited to support the relief efforts by either:
1. Giving a special gift and placing it in the offering plate on any Sunday morning. Please make your check payable to: Calvary UMC – with “HAITI EMERGENCY” written in the memo section. OR -
